Did You Know?

The very first basketball game was held on January 20, 1892. The first court was just one-half of the size of the NBA's courts today. In the entire match, only 1 point was scored and in this particular game, there were 9 players in every team!

In the past, the players used soccer ball in playing basketball. In 1929, the type of basketball that the kind of basketball we are familiar today was used.

Before, the basketball was color brown. But this color hindered the ball's visibility and thus, needed the use of another color. In the 1950s, Tony Hinkle started to search for a new color. Finally, orange was chosen as the best.
